Software Engineer/Developer
SKF is taking its extensive experience and combining it with the latest technology in mobile apps, big data and advanced analytics to provide our customer with the right information at the right time so decision making is made simple. To be able to bring these new generation digital solutions to the market we work agile, with focus on delivering value to our customers with each increment.
Today we are about 65 people that will be divided into four groups. This is a newly formed group responsible to ensure that our global applications bring true customer value through great frontend and user experience.

Your day-to-day work
As a Software Engineer/Developer, you will be part of the team that builds SKFs digitalization platform and with the team be responsible for building and operating the service.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Manage team backlog priorities and deliverables.
• Contribute and work with the overall architecture alongside the team.
We expect you to have/be
Required
• University degree, preferably computer science or related field
• At least 4 years’ experience from working with multiple programming languages (Fullstack)
• At least 4 years’ experience from working with front end development
• Passion for developing an incredible user experience.
• Experience of agile development
• Fluency in English, other language skills are meriting
• Open to travel if needed for specific activities
To be a successful Software Engineer, you also need experience in and understanding of development of distributed systems, micro services, and Amazon Web Services. We are using the latest cloud service solutions and will strive to continue to do so. Our way of working is Agile. Inside the teams we have product owners, scrum master, QA’s and software engineers working together with passion and fun.

Additional information
Location will be in Gothenburg and the position reports to Line Manager – Product Ownership.
